Dot from OpenAI is insane: - my Alaska flight got delayed, putting my Amsterdam connection at risk - Dot agent chatted with Alaska, Delta and KLM in the same time on its own computer - found a new route and got me rebooked for free after I approved All while I was on the plane - saved me a night in Seattle fr

First-hand report from @literallydenis: his Dot agent chatted with Alaska, Delta and KLM on its own computer, found a new route and rebooked him for free after his approval - all while he was on the plane, saving him a night in Seattle. Attached screenshot documents the exchange. Author handle: literallydenis (X).

Dot saves the day: rebooks around a cancelled train with zero input

I got to try ChatGPT’s new dots personal assistant ahead of time as part of their Dev Early Access Community testing. TL;DR: It saved my day today. Longer version: I had an early train to London today. I woke up to find it had been cancelled (yay, UK trains!), and I had to get a later train – I would end up being late for my event, and the later train would likely be swamped with people. There was an earlier train available, but it was in 20 minutes; there was no way I could get there in time. It turns out that my dot had spotted the problem, read the cancellation email to see my ticket was valid on earlier trains, then looked up the live tracking for the earlier train and found that it was running late – it hadn’t even left its starting station yet. It did this with zero input from me; not even an initial request, just fully autonomously. So, I was able to leave more or less as normal, head to the train station, and catch the earlier train just fine. Train: Caught. Day: Saved. Me: Impressed.

Grok Bot vs Meta Muse vs Dots: Same Job, One Winner

Grok Bot vs Meta Muse vs Dots: Same Job, One Winner

First-hand head-to-head: gave Grok Bot, Meta's Muse, and my OpenAI Dot the same real job - plan my CES 2027 trip (find the official CES dates, a round trip from Chicago O'Hare, a walkable hotel, all under $2,000, 3 options in a table) and draft an email to me (no booking/sending). My Dot produced its own CES 2027 trip plan with dates, flight options, hotel options, and a draft email. Timed and scored on accuracy, completeness, speed, and whether it asks before acting.

My Dot planned my entire 2-day Fukuoka + Kumamoto trip itinerary

Dots proactive pushes caught travel and billing issues before a Hawaii trip

Before my Hawaii trip it caught two things I had not: ZIPAIR still needed my travel authorization + stay address, and my Gemini API billing changes to prepaid while I am away. Neither was a reminder I created.

Dot admins my LINE business chat and builds Bangkok-to-Tokyo flight price comparison

ฟีเจอร์ใหม่ ChatGPT รอบนี้น้องพกคอมส่วนตัวมาเองเลย 💻 — Thai tech creator Billy Witt (@billy.witt) demonstrates his ChatGPT Dot working for his business: the Dot logs into the LINE Official Account Manager through its own cloud browser, checks unread customer messages without opening the app, and drafts replies. He then shows the Dot researching December flights from Bangkok to Tokyo/Kyoto, comparing fares across Air Macau, Hong Kong Airlines and China Eastern, compiling screenshots, and generating a detailed THB price-comparison document.
