OpenAI Dots: Big Deal or Big Dud?

26-minute first-hand test (Wayne Ergle / @wayneergle, ~64 views, Oct 1 2026): Ergle gives his own Dot a real ongoing job — monitor X/Twitter and alert him to the AI news that matters. With almost no prompting, the Dot rediscovers his old Twitter-watcher code and API credentials in a folder on its own, then builds the "Agent Signals" dashboard plus a Dots plugin locally in roughly 20-30 minutes and publishes the working site to OpenAI Sites hosting, where it runs in the cloud (not on his computer) surfacing priority posts, field reports, and emerging discussions. The deployed result is shown on screen. Concrete completed result: a live published app built and deployed by the Dot itself. No sponsored tags detected.
