I'm sticking with ChatGPT Dots for now. As I'm juggling multiple products, I can ask it from my phone to investigate CI failures, coordinate fixes and follow through. It also flags things I'd miss, like arrival instructions for an upcoming event. Having that context across work and life is what makes it useful to me. Anyone using Muse or Grok Bot this way? How much babysitting does it need?

I just got access to my very own dot and onboarded it on camera. I named my dot Dash. I gave it real work: a 50-60 second video script, a 2-minute MC opening, my newsletter research and outline, and a full campaign plan for my workshop launch on Maven. Dash worked on multiple threads at once and delivered a 40-page campaign plan with promo dates, tracking URLs, discount codes, landing page copy and LinkedIn copy. Doing it myself would have been a week's worth of work.

OpenAI Dots hands-on: the creator gave an actual Dot a hiring-coordination assignment over 4 fictional intern applications (role brief, clear boundaries: organize evidence, keep missing info visible, leave decisions to the human, synthetic records only, no email or connected apps). The Dot built a tracker separating Python, testing, communication, project work, internship context, and unanswered questions — correctly keeping a claimed Python skill separate from the demonstrated project evidence (browser interface calling an existing API), and flagged that an applicant's 'three unanswered questions' were mentioned but never worded. Mid-session, the creator changed the priority to project-evidence-first (Dot reordered columns without changing any eligibility), then added 2 new applications plus an exact duplicate of applicant two — the tracker held 6 unique applicants (not 7), deduplicating the repeat, preserved the project-first organization on the new entries, and kept all source evidence attached to the right applicants.
