AI that works even when you're not asking it to. OpenAI just launched Dots, always-on agents inside ChatGPT. I gave mine one job: track the AI tools I use, decide what's worth keeping, flag subscriptions that aren't worth renewing, never cancel anything without asking me first. Weeks later, it came back on its own, spotted a subscription that was about to renew (Higgsfield, $19 on Oct 1), compared it with the tools I already use (ChatGPT, Replit, Magnific), and recommended cancelling it. I approved it. Done. And it kept watching the next renewal cycle without me having to restart anything. This is just a glimpse of what always-on AI agents could actually look like.
