Jess Ramos's Dot Shakira kept her packed week on track

added

The last few weeks have been some of the hardest of my entire life. My personal life has been kicking my butt behind the scenes. But I've still had to show up every day on social media and at conferences with a big smile. I love my job, and I'm incredibly passionate about what I do. But I realized how desperately I needed to take a break and get some rest, so I spontaneously booked a 7-day cruise through Europe. Before I can unplug though, I'm heading to Barcelona for another conference, and my week is packed with events, speaking engagements, and executive interviews. My dot in @chatgpt already knew I was heading to Barcelona and trying to wrap up my client work before vacation. With the context from our conversations and the apps I'd connected, it had already helped me keep everything on track. dots is ChatGPT's always-on agent powered by GPT-6 Astra, the world's most intelligent and aligned model. It can maintain context over time, continue making progress between conversations, and use its own computer, ChatGPT Work, Codex, a browser, and the memories and connected apps I choose to give it access to. For me that meant helping organize my week, tracking deadlines, flagging important conference commitments, and planning my last-minute cruise details— all while staying aligned with my original goal. I still controlled what my dot could access, and at any time, I could review its work, redirect it, or stop it at any time. I didn't have to keep prompting it with every individual task. I had an always-on agent that could maintain context, adjust as my week changed, and keep me on track towards the original goal. Now the conference is wrapping up, my brand partnerships work is complete, and I'm heading to the cruise port to finally unplug. Comment "dots" to try ChatGPT dots #ChatGPT_Partner

Data & AI creator Jess Ramos (@jessramosdata, 187K followers, LinkedIn Top Voice) on a brutal few weeks: she booked a last-minute 7-day European cruise but first had to survive a Barcelona conference plus packed client work. Her always-on Dot, named Shakira, used context from her conversations and connected apps to organize her week, track deadlines, flag conference commitments, plan the cruise details, and — the concrete catch — flag a scheduling conflict between two executive interviews and generate revised interview prep briefs tailored to her style. Outcome: conference wrapped, brand partnership work complete, cruise on. DISCLOSURE: the post carries #ChatGPT_Partner and is tagged as a paid partnership with OpenAI — first-hand usage, disclosed.

Dot 'Keet' finds the cheapest parking and grades a student's assignment

Dot 'Boo' triages Slack and email, catches a flight/meeting conflict

BREAKING: @OpenAI just announced Dots—always-on agents in ChatGPT I've been testing it for the last few days @every, here's a quick vibe check: What you should know: - They'll look familiar if you've used OpenClaw, Muse, Instinct, or Grok Bots. - Your Dot sits in the redesigned ChatGPT sidebar right below the “New chat” button - It has its own cloud computer that lets it work while your laptop is closed. You can text it any time or call it on the phone. Vibe check—the good When it’s working, it changes the way I use ChatGPT: I interact with Boo (my Dot’s name), and Boo orchestrates ChatGPT threads, reads my email, uses Slack, and more. It automatically filters incoming Slack requests and emails so I can quickly triage items without opening my inbox. When I was rescheduling a flight, Boo warned me that my new flight time would conflict with a meeting request from Slack that I hadn’t read. That’s the promise: an ongoing agent that filters what needs my attention and acts proactively on my behalf, in one long-running chat thread. Vibe check—the bad But the version I tested over the last few days was buggy and lacked some features I would expect, like iMessage support. I had frequent issues with permissions and dropped messages, and my Dot was unable to connect to its own in-app browser. The verdict During testing, I found myself reaching for my Dot over starting new Codex threads, so it has definitely become a habit despite the frustration. And during the tesitng period the team was rapidly fixing issues—so I'd expect most of this to be smoothed out over the coming days and weeks. Unless you love new things with rough edges, I’d recommend waiting a week or two to try it. OpenAI will have solved a lot of these paper cuts by then. If you’re already deep into Grok Bots, Muse, or Instinct, it’s probably not an immediate switch unless you’re also a big ChatGPT or Codex user.
