His Dot 'Scorpion' found a failed partnership email he never asked it to check

OpenAI’s Dots found my failed email… Without me asking

First-hand OpenAI Dots result from Dauda Kolo (AI engineer, @daudakolo1): he named his Dot 'Scorpion' and connected it to his apps with standing permission. Without being asked, Scorpion proactively scanned his inbox and surfaced a business partnership email that failed to deliver — shown as a real Gmail notice reading 'ONE DELIVERY WAS BLOCKED' with server response '550 5.4.1 Recipient address rejected: Access denied.' The Dot brought the failure to his attention and offered to find the right contact and draft a follow-up. His takeaway: 'check its findings, choose its access.' Same creator posted the identical video to Facebook (facebook.com/reel/2536935350051003); submitted via the Instagram cross-post per FB-not-importable rule.
