Dot is a better bookkeeper than I am. I've been using Dot all day (albeit sometimes slowly) in the background/to the side of my other work catching up on bookkeeping. It is astonishing. It's better than me/faster at inputs once it knows what to do. In a software I haven't taught it.

Dot as a dedicated research partner for a side project

Sharing how I use dot. I have been using dot as a dedicated research partner for a side project I'm building. Instead of asking it random questions I give it very narrow research missions. Things like finding datasets, checking licensing/commercial-use rights, comparing sources, identifying gaps, kind of producing a clear recommendation before building the next step. Basically the guy I send away to investigate while I am running a prompt on the product, I find it extremely helpful for this kind of stuff. For reference: it's an audio related app / signal analysis

Mein KI-Assistent war schneller als ich. Ich habe dots getestet, den neuen persönlichen KI-Agenten in ChatGPT, und meinen dot Jarvis genannt. Mein Partner fragt im Chat nach fehlenden Rechnungsbelegen, und noch bevor ich die Nachricht lese, hat Jarvis die Belege in meinen Mails gefunden und fragt, ob er sie weiterleiten soll. Für mich ist das der Moment, in dem der persönliche KI-Assistent im Alltag ankommt. Nicht bei den großen Projekten, sondern bei den vielen kleinen Aufgaben, die dich jeden Tag Zeit kosten. Running his Dot as a coding agent on GPT-6 Astra, uncounted against usage

I may not be the only one trying to use Dots for software development because of its allegedly unlimited tokens, which don't count against my usage. OpenAI now seems to be actively limiting Dots' ability to develop software. I'm running into blocker after blocker. I'm using it as a coding agent. It seems to be working well since it uses gpt-6-astra and its usage is NOT counted against my usage. I'll be using this a lot while it's kind of free.
