Tailscale persistence script for ChatGPT Dots cloud VMs

ChatGPT Dots VMs can be replaced periodically, so I put together a small setup script for running Tailscale with user-level OpenSSH and keeping the installation and node state in `/workspace`. I've confirmed it running for over 24 hours in my setup and have now published the project. My dot has been really helpful There are some frustrating things about codex right now but I've really appreciated having my dot. It's great at non-coding work especially. Here are some ways it's helped: It reviews things that my team produces now without me asking. It caught a large error that would have taken me hours to fix after the fact. I asked it to redo the work that the team member had produced and it fixed the errors and served me the corrected versions. It reviewed emails and docs I'd written and now drafts (but never sends) replies to emails that come in and helps me triage the truly urgent items. I still personalize the emails but the amount of changes I need to make to the voice and formatting is far better than any other agent. It can properly format Google Docs if given an example. Claude has never been good at this and it really saves time and makes things look less "AI". I still use separate agent chats for specific, longer projects and coding but for the day-to-day churn, the dot is a great sidekick. Especially while usage is unlimited.

Did nothing special, I do not have a laptop, I only asked, now I have to figure out how to protect my financial info. Hmm Anyone have ideas around this? I could just place it myself, but being in my account it will see it - or delete it and pull the card out or Apple Pay maybe? Everytime?
