dot 初體驗 — first hands-on test of OpenAI's Dot by 余佳恆 (in Chinese). The chat screenshot documents the dot picking tachiko-work PR #473 (a small PR converting an always-loaded long process into an on-demand Skill while keeping existing rules; 4 CI checks passing; 2 commits behind main), then — after the user objected to needing his Mac authorized — switching to its own cloud computer, verifying Git, Python, and Node availability, and preparing an isolated cloud workspace for PR #473 with Sol 6.1 for main-branch compatibility verification, no Mac needed.

First-hand test (posted Sep 30, 2026): developer 余佳恆 (@tachichocolate) had his Dot pick up tachiko-work PR #473 for a full GitHub review. When the local run stalled on Mac authorization, the Dot switched to its own cloud computer, confirmed Git, Python, and Node were available, and started preparing an isolated cloud workspace for PR #473 with Sol 6.1 to check main-branch compatibility — no Mac required. I asked an OpenAI Dot to inspect its own execution environment — 9 CPUs, 9.7 GB RAM, 31.5 GB storage, no GPU Was curious, so I had it inspect its own environment. Mine gets 9 logical CPUs, ~9.7 GB RAM, ~31 GB storage and no GPU. CPU shows up as an AMD EPYC 9V74. I also asked if this was just some Blender-specific sandbox, but apparently not, it used the same environment for Python, SQLite and shell commands. Not the machine running the actual model of course, just the execution environment the Dot gets access to.
