Registered my black cat as a pet in my Dot

added Oct 6, 2026

Kevin Kang (@ciaokevin) tested OpenAI's Dots on launch week and used the Customize-your-dot flow to register his black cat as a pet profile in the agent (screen-recorded carousel). First-hand demo showing a Dot set up with personalized pet context. Dots tested: 3 stores, one AirPods catch

Romy Voss's first-hand OpenAI Dots test (Oct 2): his Dot searched 3 stores and found an AirPods Pro 3 'catch' — about $250 before tax — comparing Target store returns vs Apple mail returns, completing the hunt in roughly seven minutes. Creator discloses the video itself is narrated by an AI-generated host.

Dot tracks his publishing pipeline with zero upkeep

Dot tracks his publishing pipeline with zero upkeep

Btw I'm already using Pages to track my publishing pipeline - it keeps track of my ideas, drafts, stage per platform and then checks my socials (using my computer) and records what's published on each platform, attaches links etc. I did very little prompting to set this up, it just kind of worked. I also don't touch any of the notes by hand, this is effectively a canvas for me to visualize things and for Dot to keep track.

His Dot assembled rendered frames into a finished video

His Dot assembled rendered frames into a finished video

Today I had ChatGPT create conceptual images of some whimsical buildings. Then I had Opus 5.5 build them out in detail in Blender, put them in a scene, and rendered a day-to-night loop. Once that was done I rendered out a few more frames, and had my Dot ask an agent to use my agentic creator studio to put them all into a 3:4 frame with simple margins and rounded corners to produce this. I'm on a free trial but... I think Claude may have earned back my subscription. Full-sized video in comments.

OpenAI DevDay 2026: dots, Sol vs Astra and the new Pro plans

I named my ChatGPT dot Loki and asked it to explain OpenAI DevDay 2026, on camera. If you use ChatGPT for work, this covers what changed and what it costs. Inside: what a dot is, Spaces, the Meetings plugin and how it compares with a Plaud recorder, apps inside ChatGPT, GPT-6.1 Sol vs GPT-6 Astra on price, and the new Pro plans.
