My dot is called Nyx. I like the stream of consciousness way of interacting with it. I can just fire off things and it'll work out what I mean and sort it into a series of topics itabages in the backend. We're working on a series of plugins to connect to some things, managing some running projects on the MacBook I've provided while I'm traveling and keeping me abreast of things I need to know about my flights and where I'm traveling. It's, low key, chill and just sorta works.

First-hand Threads post by Zate Berg (@zate75, Oct 2 2026). He named his Dot Nyx and reports it manages running projects on a MacBook he connected, keeps him updated on his flights and travel while he's away, and he is building plugins to connect more services. Genuine first-hand usage, no partner or sponsor tag noted. Small account (224 followers, 1 like).

Call DOTS on voice mode. Describe what you are hunting for. It browses the web, finds matching products, and sends the links straight to your chat while you are still on the call. Test run: asked for magnetic wooden cairns like an art piece I had seen. Mid-call it came back with hand-shaped walnut stones with hidden magnets, plus sapele and mixed wood sets, and dropped the four closest links into the thread. Hands-free product research that actually finishes the task before you hang up.
