added Oct 11, 2026

unsure how i should feel about something monitoring all my activity 24h without asking . cool or scary?

First-hand: Eric (@juiced69) shares a screenshot of his Dot ('dot', blue blob avatar) proactively checking his GitHub activity through a connected account, unprompted. The Dot replied that it checked GitHub via the connected account and the user asks what else it would check. Real caption: 'unsure how i should feel about something monitoring all my activity 24h without asking. cool or scary?' Posted 2026-10-11. Concrete achieved result: unprompted proactive activity monitoring by the Dot.

Hands-free Dot task pile on a Shikoku road trip — stops on schedule after the reset

Kevin Ly's Dot "Dex" checks his Mac and reports project status

Kevin Ly's Dot "Dex" checks his Mac and reports project status

I asked my AI where my project was up to. From my phone, it checked my connected Mac and found what was finished and what still needed building. This is OpenAI's Dot. I named mine Dex. Setup was simple: pick a name, pick a look, save. My existing account plugins loaded straight away, and Dex started suggesting things it could help with. What interests me most is having one place to ask about my Codex projects. It can work in the cloud and with files on my connected Mac, with the same Dot available on phone, desktop and web. You can call it too. My first call didn't connect, and the project lookup took a while and needed clarification. Early days, but being able to pick up my work without remembering which chat I left it in is something I'm keen to keep testing. #OpenAI #Codex #AIAgents

ChatGPT Spaces Tutorial: Pages, Dots and a Tracker That Updates Itself

ChatGPT looks different now, and Spaces + Dots have changed my whole workflow. In this video I show you how I actually use it: making pages, building charts with /visualize, handing work to my Dot (her name is Candy), and setting up a project tracker that checks my email, Drive and calendar and updates itself every morning at 6am.

My AI Team: 7 Ways I Use ChatGPT Dots + Codex for Real Client Work

Here's how I'm using ChatGPT dots and Codex as my AI team for real client work. In this video, I share seven practical workflows using a podcast studio project as the example - from keeping a project organized and writing clearer briefs to improving a website, researching potential customers, creating better marketing, and producing podcast content. You'll see how I connect the work: dot helps me organize the project and plan the next steps, Codex helps with technical execution, and I provide the direction and review the results. I also share what made an overnight client handoff work.
