My Dot flashed its own avatar onto an ESP32 screen
added
I asked my AI agent to put its avatar on an ESP32 screen. 🤖 First flash failed. The agent diagnosed it, installed a fix and reflashed. 38 minutes 36 seconds from the ask: “hello, I’m Dot” on the round display. The chip displays the avatar and greeting; the AI model itself isn’t running on it. Real timings, with the waiting cut out. The AI assistant voice is synthetic.
First-hand: the creator asked his Dot agent to put its avatar on a round ESP32-S3 display. The first flash failed with a ROM command error; the agent diagnosed the failure over a phone call, installed a fix, and reflashed successfully — 38 minutes 36 seconds from the ask to "hello, I'm Dot" on the display (the avatar displays on-chip; the model itself runs remotely). Video shows the full process including desk cam and screen recordings.
