ChatGPT Dots Can Job Hunt For You. Here's My Setup.
added
ChatGPT Dots can run your job search for you, but only if you set the rules first. I built JobGuard, a dot that searches remote contract work, verifies every listing, and flags the broken ones. Five roles came back on the first run. Two passed. Three failed verification, and one of those had the highest match score on the list. This is the full setup: creating the dot, writing the guardrails, running the first search, and scheduling it to run every weekday morning without me. Everything here runs on a fictional demo resume. Nothing was submitted to any company. Chapters: 00:00 The one rule; 00:20 Creating the dot; 00:45 Giving it a resume; 01:05 What to look for; 01:25 The rules it can't break; 01:50 First search; 02:20 Two verified, three flagged; 03:00 The highest score was broken; 03:40 The top verified role; 04:10 Building the shortlist; 04:50 Checking the application link; 05:20 Drafting an application note; 05:50 Running it every weekday; 06:20 What I'd copy if you build your own. The one thing to copy: write the "cannot" list before the "can" list. That is the difference between an agent that helps you and one you have to sit and watch.
Berzaf built a Dot called JobGuard that runs a remote-contract job hunt: it searched listings, verified each one, and flagged broken ones — first run returned 5 roles, 2 passed verification, 3 failed (including the highest-match one). He wrote hard guardrails first ('cannot' list before 'can' list), showed the full setup, and scheduled it to re-run every weekday morning. NOTE: run on a fictional demo resume — no applications were actually submitted. Channel: Berzaf | AI Automation; handle stored without special characters per the API's handle validator.
