Can ChatGPT 'Dot' Help You Follow Through?
added
I've been experimenting with how a personal AI assistant could help me follow through on the things I care about. In this video, I ask my dot, Shaine, to start a ChatGPT thread and use my personal notes in Obsidian to propose a life vision document. Along the way, I discover something I hadn't realized it could do: my dot sends additional context into the thread while it's still working.
Dan McAteer (Attention Heads) gave his ChatGPT Dot ('Shaine') a real job on camera: start a ChatGPT thread and use his personal Obsidian notes to propose a life vision document. The Dot completed it — drafting the vision doc from his notes and 2024 journal entries, and even pushed additional context into the thread proactively while working. Honest note from the creator: whether it helps him follow through over time is still an open question, but the reflection was worthwhile. No partner tag.
